The Problem

Dog owners want to be able to find trustworthy trained dog walkers and sitters in their neigborhood.

User research

I conducted three in-person interviews with friends and family members. Although not all of them have used some sort of dog walking app the most comment apps use are ROVER and WAG.

Overall the people are happy with the usability of the apps but unhappy with payments and finding a trustworthy walker/sitter and as well they have found it hard to do real-time communication between the walker/sitter and owner.

While doing my research, I wanted to create a flow very user-friendly as well making sure that certain options were not hard for the user to get to.

From the aspect of the design of the app, I wanted to create a simple clean design. I wanted to make sure when the user is using the app that everything is straightforward and easy to use.

Overall the design I wanted to make sure I design a simple clean and organized design and making sure it was not complicated for the user.

Final results

Following the final testing with some friends, I feel accomplished the goal was to create a simple clean design and make sure that new and current users are comfortable using Bark! to find their trusted walker/sitter

At the end of the project, I enjoy every step of the process of creating this app and was able to learn a lot about the process.
