Dead eye apple box lable.
As some may or may not know, I was raised on an apple farm in Eastern, WA. I left home many years back to tackle the dream of being a designer in the Seattle tech industry. Long story short, We recently moved out of the post-apocalyptic area formerly known as Seattle. I am now back to where I grew up. The apple country of central Washington. It was past time that my art style reflected my personality and family history.Old apple box illustrations influenced me a lot growing up. Before the days of cardboard apple boxes with impersonal designs maximized for international shipping. There was a golden age of colorful lithographed labels glued to wooden crates. These things oozed personality. The juxtaposition of typography, humor, and the overall uniqueness of the older labels influenced me more than I had realized looking back.I am excited to show y’all the first illustration of what will be part of a more extensive personal campaign. Thank you for following along. Appreciate ya.
