UAB Degree Portal UX Design

Hi everyone! Sharing a bit of work I did for UAB's Degree Portal. The previous design had several problems that made it difficult for users to use, including:

• unusual groupings of information and items, thus confusing users

• no way to filter and drill down by category

• issues with their search bar not working correctly

The new design resolves these issues by implementing a side-by-side filter layout that allows users to filter by degree category. It was also decided to that it was best to remove the search bar until a later date due to functionality restraints. Let me know what you think! See the previous design below.
