We’re thrilled to share with you the research process we did for Nocode.

The client

Nocode is a media platform that assists individuals, regardless of their technical skills, in creating their software and navigating the digital world using no-code tools. Nocode stands as the largest and most comprehensive educational platform in the no-code/low-code domain. It has transformed from a website that curates the finest no-code tools to a space designed for learners at every level. It offers a wealth of intuitive and clear explanations, guides, courses, tutorials, and tool reviews that empower the community to explore the vast expanse of the no-code universe.

UX Research

Nocode was looking to reposition on the market. They wanted to transition from being primarily an education-focused company to becoming a media-oriented company, all while announcing their recent acquisition. To achieve this goal, we conducted thorough research and implemented UX methods that we found most effective for this situation.

Our approach started with a competitive benchmark, during which we analyzed how Nocode currently positions itself within the industry, considering aspects related to education, media, community, and product. We then conducted stakeholder interviews to uncover the motivations behind the acquisition, the shift towards becoming a media company, and revealed the company's goals for the future.

Afterward, we conducted user interviews to better understand Nocode's strengths and determine user pain points, as well as areas where improvements could be made. Examining the website and its analytics allowed us to define the typical Nocode visitor, assess user flows, evaluate overall website performance, and identify potential issues.

These methods enabled us to identify existing issues and define a new direction for the website redesign.
