What’s up, dribbblers! Today, I want to share the case study of the 3D visuals for the landing page concept for a foodtech business. My goal was to create a compact, highly efficient, yet visually appealing design for farms that not only take up less space but also yield higher crops.

I began with a mood board that included reference materials for every aspect of the visuals. The frame needed to be strong and lightweight, so I selected anodized aluminum. Interior materials were designed for easy cleaning, ensuring hygiene throughout the growing cycle. LED lighting was critical, providing year-round growth by simulating sunlight.

With an understanding of materials and shapes, I began modeling in Cinema 4D.? I have worked on the design of the future module, keeping in mind that each one should be versatile for different tasks. Therefore, I created three different height options, while maintaining the same depth and width for all of them, so that each farmer can choose the block height that suits their needs. At the same time, the modules can be conveniently stacked on top of each other without increasing the floor space they occupy.

When I was designing the module, I focused not only on ergonomics but also kept the visual aesthetics and fluidity of forms in mind. For visual harmony, I rounded the edges and used glass with soft curves along the borders, which softened the rigid lines and gave the design a more sleek and modern look.

I used ready-made models from Bridge, optimizing them, and worked on textures and colors. I focused particularly on materials to convey the lushness and healthy appearance of the plants, highlighting that inside the smart module, they receive everything needed for optimal growth.

The autonomous farm has individual microflora in each module, and it was important to show this. The best approach was using fogged glass. For this scene, I used pre-animated drop textures and three different drop textures to achieve realism.?

The scale of the farm is endless rows of modules providing food for dozens of people. My goal was to convey the grandeur of this idea through every detail. I created different variations of module racks, and to help the website user, the farmer, visualize the scale, I added familiar objects like wet floor signs, barrels, and carts to better illustrate the farm's dimensions.

Simple animation is the best way to complement the presentation of complex objects. I created a smooth animation that enhances the visuals without drawing too much attention. Micro-animations of model connections emphasized the convenience and advanced technology of smart modular farms.

The functional requirements of smart plant boxes dictated the 3D design approach, making this project an exciting challenge.?
